Preferred document formats include:
(.ots, .odt .ods) Open document formats. Our format is .ods for calculations.
( .sxw, .sxc) Older Open office.org formats.
(.html) (.xml) HTML format or XML
(.txt) Text format
(.pdf)(.fdf) PDF format exelent as read only. Fdf prefered for forms to be filled out. If we have to add data or images to a pdf will not be pretty.
CAD drawings, drawings or plans in order of preference:
(.dxf) Qcad.org / older cad format
(.svg) or (.svgz) Inkscape
(.odg) OpenDocument Graphics format
(.gif)

Combatable non preferred:
.doc No problem, not prefered.
.rtf No problem, not prefered.
.xls Format may be converted to .ods we have run into a total of 1 incompatable documents

The following file formats are non compatable:
.cxw Apple works or clarisworks.
.dwf AutoDesk AutoCad
Software/hardware: Prefered Linux distro is Gentoo. i686 Linux/unix compatable binarys .deb or .rpm packages and/or Linux portable source code in C, perl, java etc. Copmatable with a recent linux kernel 2.6 and later.
.exe Anything Microsoft is a show stopper. We apologise for any inconvenience
