Preferred document formats
We prefer the following formats that are non propritary and open source (in order of prefrence):.ots, .odt .ods .sxw, .sxc Open
document formats. .docx is a NEW compatable format but we dont save in it. .txt Text format or .rtf Rich Text RTF
Specification provides a format for text and graphics interchange that can be used with
different output devices, operating environments, and operating systems..html .xml HTML format or XML .pdf .fdf PDF read only, for documents do not use for
construction plans.
CAD drawings, or plans
In order of preference:.dxf Drawing Interchange Format , or
Drawing Exchange Format) is a CAD data file format developed by Autodesk for enabling data
interoperability between AutoCAD and other programs. .dxf Can be opened by Openoffice.org
Qcad.org Varicad and others.
Note all CAD programs that use .dwg you can click on "SAVE AS" to export a CAD file to .dxf

Software/hardware: Prefered Operating system is Linux. Gentoo is theflavor.
